Iron sharpens iron and sometimes the sparks just fly.

Incredible how we people of faith and passion can passionately create sparks that fly when discussing our theological differences.
It has been said that two subjects off-the-dinner-table discussions are religion and politics.
Well, I like to stir the pot with a little stimulating differences now and then, but some differences that cause sparks that might boil over and should be quickly extinguished.
I can win an argument, but I never will at the cost of a friend.
My fire extinguisher is: I respect your opinion. I love your companionship. I bless your enthusiasm.
(And I keep quiet after that.)
